Yvonne and Paul met in Georgia while Yvonne was activated for Desert Storm. They moved to Logan, Ohio, near Nelsonville to attend College where they both attained their bachelor degrees with highest honors from Ohio University, Yvonne's in business, Paul's in nursing. Paul and Yvonne have no children; they consider the pet dogs they have had to be close friends, including working a lot together as a skilled therapy dog team in military hospitals and other organizations. Currently, they have no pets. After having been moved all over the United States by the army, Paul and Yvonne plan to end their military career soon and perhaps settle in Georgia.|

Paul Matthew Johnson Born: 29-Jul-1971 Father: Mother: Occupation: Paul was in the Army Reserve but he is now a commissioned officer in the active duty Army. Several moves across the country followed while he earned his Master's in Nurse Anesthesia and rose to Captain. In 2001 Paul earned his master degree in Nurse Anesthesia (CRNA) and then in 2013 his Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP). Karen Yvonne Elvy Born: 13-Jan-1964 Father: Ludford William Elvy Mother: Glenda Ann Walter Other Spouses: Galen Blaire "Mike Olson" Coons Occupation: Yvonne worked a variety of jobs, including in apartment management and maintenance, before joining the Army Reserves as a pharmacy technician, eventually rising to Sergeant. In 2006 Yvonne earned her master degree in Management and Leadership. She now supports her husband Paul's career as a housewife and is also a long-distance care-provider for some elderly relatives. (updated 2020) Yvonne was born in Novato, California. She started using her middle name after high school. She graduated from Analy High School, as did her siblings, her father and Aunts. Before marrying Mike Olson (formely Galen Blaire Coons), she struggled with what was later diagnosed as chronic mild depression, which is now finally being successfully treated. Yvonne enjoys watching classic movies and Broadway musicals from home, improving household management methods, reading Bill Bryson and similar authors, and training dogs - and their people - as a hobby. Discussions about any perspective, philosophy or religion, and telling puns, energize her. She adopted a whole-food vegan diet in 2013 and really thrives on the convenience, nutrition and enjoyment of it. |
