Died: 11-Sep-2007   Lud died in Santa Rosa, California, from sudden pneumonia following several years of leukemia.

Occupation: After two years in the Navy, Lud earned degrees in engineering and education then made his career teaching woodshop and other subjects for junior high students.  Also, for decades been a house-painter, making this his primary but periodic occupation after his retirement from teaching.

Comments: Lud was born in Sebastopol, California, and has lived there nearly his entire life.  His hobby is to make wood projects of all types, especially making works of art on the lathe, including candlesticks, vases, bowls and scoops  He loves puns and number/logic challenges.

Lud and Glenda met at a folk dance when they were both students at San Jose State University.    Sebastopol's liberal United Church of Christ (UCC) plays a very big part in their lives and is essentially their extended family and second home. Glenda leans more towards broad-scoped Christian faith, while Lud is much more agnostic.
