David and Gwen met when they were in the band and choir at Santa Rosa Junior College, Gwen playing the clarinet. Gwen was raised a strict Catholic while David grew up in a far more relaxed Protestant atmosphere, yet they found a middle ground in combining the two, even being married by both a minister and a priest. Their faith as Methodists is very important to them and directs a large degree of their activities. They often sing and/or play instruments at church, as do their daughters.|

He has almost continuously been involved in school and/or church vocal choirs and in bell choirs, including directing, and played the saxophone very well as a teen. |

Jessica was born in Santa Rosa, California, but raised mostly in Sebastopol, California, and then in Sharonville, Ohio. She has always had an excellent singing voice. An outgoing performer from the start, she has enjoyed acting in school and church productions. Ballet is a big hobby with her but her strong Christian faith and Methodist upbringing is the dominant force in her life. She is attending college in Dayton, Ohio, toward a degree in elementary education. Monica, born in Santa Rosa, California, considers Ohio her home since she moved from Sebastopol when a young girl. She coordinates a small Christian band at her college, in which she is the lead singer. Monica often sings and/or plays instruments at church, as do her sister and parents.
