Robert was baptised in Tong, Kent, on 1 June 1670. He must have been well-known in Sittingbourne, for in 1712 and 1714 the deaths of John Mannouth and Thomas Culler respectively are entered as "a servant of Mr. Elvy". When Jane's mother died in 1698, she is called "Jane Witherden, the mother of Mrs. Elvy". |

Thomas was baptised on 1 Dec 1671 in Tong, Kent. On 21 December 1745 he made a will which still exists and appears elsewhere on this website. According to a document, in 1725 he leased a property, which included the Kings Head at Sittingbourne, for one year at the rate of one peppercorn to his nephew Tunnard Elvy of Milton near to Sittingbourne who was a Butcher. |
