Lida and Walter were married in Ghent and lived there until 1960 when they and their son Marc moved to Brussels. |

During her childhood she also lived in France, Switzerland and the Netherlands. It was in Ghent, during a holiday at her grandparents, that she met her husband Walter Lippens and that her son Marc was born. She was a child carer. |

Marc adopted his stepson Frank who now carries his name. |
